Artificial Intelligence and Vision Group

The group's research projects span computer vision applications such as action and gesture recognition and image segmentation (in close collaboration with the Computer Vision group), identity recognition from gait and pose estimation; machine learning, with a focus on efficient nearest neighbour classifiers; robotics and autonomous navigation (within the framework of the Intelligent Transport Systems doctoral training programme); the modelling of chaos in dynamical systems; uncertainty theory and imprecise probabilities, with a focus on the theory of belief functions.
